Restaurant billing and POS, on your own hosting

POS System for Restaurant runs the counters, captain phones and kitchen screens of a restaurant, cafe, dhaba, QSR counter or cloud kitchen, one outlet or a whole chain, on your own cPanel hosting or VPS, in Hindi and English on every screen, bill and KOT.

One edition covers dine-in, the quick-service counter, the cloud kitchen and multi-outlet chains with several brands. One cron line, no Composer, and everything works without AI.

Orders, tables and the kitchen

  • Floor plans per area with table sessions, transfer, merge and split; reservations and a waitlist with a wait quote.
  • Captains take dine-in orders at the table on a 360 px phone; the counter bills takeaway, delivery and counter orders on a 10-inch tablet or a touch PC, with PIN sign-in and counter roles.
  • Every item's KOT goes to its station (kitchen, tandoor, bar) with ADD and CANCEL rounds; kitchen screens show timers, bump, recall and the all-day count, with the pass and a token board.
  • When a kitchen screen does not answer, the backup printer prints the KOT.
  • A menu in English and Hindi with variants, add-ons, modifiers, combos, availability windows, price books per outlet, area and channel, and happy hours.

Bills, payments and the day-end

  • Bills on 58 or 80 mm ESC/POS thermal printers through the GX Print Helper on the counter PC, or from the browser, with Hindi item names, the FSSAI number, veg marks and a UPI QR for the amount due.
  • Splits by item, seat or amount, discounts with limits and approvals, tips, voids with reasons, credit notes and NC bills; the service charge is optional and removable.
  • Cash, UPI QR, card slips, PayU, PhonePe and PayPal on your own merchant accounts, house accounts, gift cards and deposits.
  • Shifts with float, cash moves and blind counts; the day-end with the Z report and its hash chain.

Billing that keeps going offline

When the internet or the server is down, terminals and captain phones keep billing in their own bill series with signed events, and send every bill once when the connection is back. What needs a decision waits for the manager's review.

Billing is never stopped in the middle of a service, and a one-click update does not start while a shift is open unless the owner confirms it.

Server requirements

Check your hosting before you buy: the script needs everything listed here, except the items marked optional.

  • Requires PHP 8.1 or newer (8.3 recommended) with pdo_mysql, mbstring, openssl, json, fileinfo, curl and zip (gd with FreeType for Hindi on thermal printers)

The live demo shows the full logo in the header; on your site the built-in icon next to your site name, the browser tab icon and the phone app icons are now this product's own icon.
Admin → Settings → Branding: a logo and favicon guide next to the upload fields (size, ratio, format, file size and colours for the logo, the dark-mode logo and the favicon) with the ready-made files to download, in Hindi and English.

A licence and name release (it includes 1.0.1, which this store skipped): no change to how the product works.
Licence: the GetXtra Commercial Licence (the LICENSE file) replaces the MIT licence of earlier packages. It is not open source: one licence key per installation from the GetXtra store; no resale, sharing or giving away of the code. Third-party parts keep their own licences.
The developer is now named GetXtra Digital everywhere: the credit "Developer: GetXtra Digital" in the footer and the admin, the licence, the README and the buyer guide. The credit may not be removed or hidden; the Branding switch in Admin, Settings turns off only the "Powered by GetXtra" line.

FAQ

Does billing stop when the internet goes down?
No. Terminals and captain phones bill offline in their own bill series and send every bill once when the internet is back. Kitchen screens need the local Wi-Fi to the server; the backup printer prints KOTs meanwhile.
Is it connected to Zomato and Swiggy?
Not directly: they share their APIs only with approved partners. You enter their orders fast by hand, take them from an approved middleware through the signed webhook, and reconcile payouts from their reports.
Which printers work?
ESC/POS thermal printers (58 and 80 mm) on USB or the network through the GX Print Helper, and any printer through the browser's print dialog.
Does it file my GST returns?
No. It helps with GST: it works out the tax of each bill from the regime and rates you and your CA set and prepares GSTR-1 data, GSTR-3B figures and the e-invoice JSON for you to check and upload.
Can I run several outlets and brands?
Yes. One licence is one installation, and one installation runs many outlets and brands, with managers limited to their own outlet.
What happens if my licence lapses?
Billing is never stopped in the middle of a service: after the 7-day offline grace the counters keep billing for 24 more hours with a banner; then new orders stop, while open bills can still be paid and shifts closed.
Does an update interrupt service?
A one-click update does not start while a shift is open unless the owner confirms it; the counters go on billing during the update and take the new version after their current bill.
Is Hindi available everywhere?
Yes: every screen, bill, KOT, kitchen screen, message, guest page and guide is in Hindi and English, and a bill can print in another language than the screen.
